District heating has been a major topic of Chinese energy policy for decades. Denmark is at the forefront of developments within renewable technologies for clean heat and power generation and possesses experience and know-how that can be valuable input for China in its effort to develop sustainable, emission-free energy solutions. Through setting up the virtual Sino-Danish Clean and Renewable Heating Knowledge Center, UNEP-CCC, Danish Energy Agency and technical partners in China and Denmark will jointly organize frequent meetings to exchange ideas, develop best practices for both countries or globally, and share new developments in the relevant topics of district heating and building energy efficiency.
