Stefan Thomas is a physicist and political scientist. Since November of 2003, Stefan Thomas has been Director of the Research Group „Energy, Transport and Climate Policy“ at the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy, located in Wuppertal, Germany. He has been working with the Institute since 1993. His main fields of scientific work are analysis, development and testing of policy instruments to promote energy efficiency, from the local to the global level; ex-post impact and process evaluation of energy efficiency policies and measures; and new energy efficiency business concepts for energy supply companies.
