Grant Olear is an International Policy Specialist on the Advocacy team at the U.S. Green Building Council. He has been with the organization since 2014. His work includes supporting USGBC’s international policy partnerships such as the Building Efficiency Accelerator of UN Sustainable Energy for All (SE4All), providing information and guidance to members on-the-ground in foreign markets, as well as to government officials, and researching and writing on policy developments. Grant represented USGBC at UN’s Habitat III conference in Quito. He also contributes to domestic advocacy focused on the New England states, and management of USGBC’s Public Policy Library; an interactive platform that allows users to search for policies related to green building and LEED at the Federal, State, and Local levels. Grant has a Bachelor’s Degree from University of Vermont and is based at USGBC Headquarters in Washington, D.C.
