The United Nations Sustainable Stock Exchange (‘SSE’) Climate Advisory Group in collaboration with over 100 international stock exchanges has developed model guidance for a framework to incorporate climate-related disclosure from the Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosure (‘TCFD’) to assist issuers transition to net zero. With stock exchanges at the crossroads between issuers, investors, sustainability practitioners and policy makers they can enable the conditions to scale green investment, deploy sustainable capital and finance the climate transition toward net zero. As the Paris Agreement requires economy-wide transition, every property, project, portfolio, bank, issuer and investor will be part of the transition to an environmentally sustainable economy.
