As Sector Counsellor for Energy at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Denmark in Beijing, Thuvaraahen Nagendiram ’s primary responsibility is to facilitate Sino-Danish cooperation on energy and thereby strengthening the Sino-Danish knowledge transfer to overcome market and regulatory barriers in order to promote a green energy transition.
Prior to joining the embassy as a sector counsellor, Thuvaraahen worked for the Center of Global Cooperation of the Danish Energy Agency as an energy advisor for about three years, where he mainly worked for Sino-Danish district heating projects, plus district heating projects with the UK. He also has experience at both the municipal and utility levels, where he was involved in heat planning, project proposals, and socio-economics etc.
Thuvaraahen holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Sustainable Energy Planning & Management from Aalborg University.
