Dr. Romanas Savickas is a senior Energy sector professional and Principal/Managing Consultant, with more than 25 years of professional intercontinental experience in Private, Public & Academia sectors, managing Projects of 20-250 mln. USD. He holds a PhD degree in Energy and Thermal engineering (2007).

Dr. Romanas Savickas is developing and managing Energy Efficiency and Climate Adaptation/Mitigation projects by utilising Integrated Energy Systems, District Heating, District Cooling, Renewable, Low Carbon Technologies, Buildings Energy Efficiency, Waste Energy, Digitalisation and Hydrogen technologies, to cut and reduce GHG emissions. An integral and consistent part of the work in collaboration with National and Local Governments creating, engaging, and coordinating Public–Private-Academia Stakeholders groups. The direct support to National and Local authorities includes Technical and Financial Assistance, Capacity building, Trainings, Master Planning, Heating and Cooling Planning, identification of potential policy opportunities and barriers, Technical and Financial Estimates, and development of a Long-term Energy Strategy. Technical Assistance and Consultation, development of Feasibility Studies, Financial Assessments, Innovative Business Models, Legal/Regulatory/Policy, and Socio-Economic Assessments are integral parts of activities.

Author of more than 20 scientific publications.

Contribution to IPCC reports to Chapter 6 “Energy systems”, and Chapter 8 “Urban systems and other settlements”. In 2019, Romanas was listed as a Global Energy Elite 2019 by Smart Energy international.
