Oliver Zulu is an Architect with the DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC INFRASTRUCTURE in the Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development (MIHUD) of the Government of the Republic of Zambia. He has more than 15 years of experience in public infrastructure design and Construction supervision as well as property and facilities management. Among the notable public infrastructure projects that he has contributed to their development of in Zambia are the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport, Mwami/ Muchinji One Stop Border Post, and Rehabilitation and Refurbishment of the Baroste Canals in the Zambezi River Basin in the western province of Zambia.
Mr. Oliver P. Zulu holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from The Information and Communications University (ICU) and a diploma in Design and Technology with Education from the Technical and Vocational Training College TVTC.
He has since expanded his professional portfolio and included climate science to inform sustainable and resilient public infrastructure development, including Adaptation and Mitigation to climate shocks that affect Zambia, such as excessive heat and flash floods. The infrastructure interventions include work on the development of Energy Efficiency in buildings and the employment of Nature-based Solutions for climate Mitigation and Adaptation.
