Luís Silva is graduated in Mining Engineering by Lisbon’s Technical University and has post-graduation studies in Energy Policy, Planning and Economics and Business Management. He joined ADENE in 1992 and is currently Head of the Institutional and International Affairs Department developing activities related to European and national projects aiming to promote energy efficiency and best available practices. He also has experience working in various projects on dissemination, outreach and network management activities (OPET, CoMO SSA), as well as initiatives aimed at implementing the Portuguese NEEAP, including programmes to increase the use of solar thermal systems in buildings (IP-AQSpP, MST 2009) and to improve energy efficiency in the public administration sector (Eco.AP). Luís Silva is ADENE’s representative for the European (EnR) and Mediterranean (MEDENER) networks of national energy agencies and he represents ADENE in the management bodies of several Portuguese local and regional energy agencies.
