Amiirah Muddhoo

Amiirah Muddhoo, is an energy and climate professional with several years of experience across the public sector, international organisations, and industry. She holds a dual master’s in energy engineering and project management through the Erasmus Mundus ME3+ programme and was honoured to receive the prestigious IAEA Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship during her studies.

Her work includes engineering and energy roles in government projects in Mauritius, where she supported sustainable services for public buildings. She has also taken on international assignments with Schneider Electric, contributing to Net Zero strategies for 14 buildings across 9 countries. Currently, at the UNEP Copenhagen Climate Centre, she leads research initiatives aimed at strengthening energy efficiency policy in Mauritius.

Her expertise spans energy data analysis, building decarbonisation, renewable energy integration, project management and stakeholder engagement. She is committed to sustainable development for all, and she believes that meaningful change often starts with small, strategic actions.
