New working paper a toolbox for building energy efficiency

November 2, 2016

An overview of 50 energy-efficiency tools and information sources for buildings is the core of a new working paper produced by the Copenhagen Centre and World Resource Institute. Produced under the umbrella of SEforALL’s Building Efficiency Accelerator, Tools for Energy Efficiency in Buildings: A Guide for Policy Makers and Experts not only summarizes the tools but also maps them, linking them to different stages in the policy-development cycle. Designed to help local policy-makers, technical experts and other relevant stakeholders navigate the sea of information sources on energy efficiency in buildings, the paper guides readers through the key steps of the policy and project development process, using publicly-available tools. The paper also provides a decision tree to help policy makers choose the right tools, a very useful tool in itself for policy and project development discussions on improving energy efficiency in buildings.
