Vacancy Announcement – Research Assistant for the Copenhagen Centre on Energy Efficiency

The Copenhagen Centre on Energy Efficiency is recruiting a Research Assistant to support project management and implementation on energy efficiency. The successful candidate will join the Copenhagen Centre on Energy Efficiency’s international team of professionals in an interdisciplinary work environment that combines research, methodology development, capacity building and project implementation in developing countries.

The work will be carried out in collaboration with the Centre’s management and the team of senior staff involved in research on energy efficiency related topics and in the energy efficiency implementation solutions at local level.

Qualifications

  • MSc degree or equivalent in geography, engineering, economics, environmental sciences, or other discipline related to energy or climate change.
  • Up to 3 years of experience on energy efficiency or climate technologies and/or policies work;
  • Experience in working on energy efficiency or climate mitigation issues associated with cooling technologies is a pre-requisite;
  • Familiarity and relevant work experience related to energy efficiency management, technologies and best practices implemented at city or municipal level is an asset;
  • Experience in planning and organising webinars, workshops and conferences on sustainable energy with an international audience is an asset;
  • Experience with work with UN agencies and availability to travel is an advantage.
