Global Status Report for the building sector to be launched at COP 22

November 9, 2016

The Copenhagen Centre has collaborated on a new report featuring the most up-to-date data on the global building sector’s energy consumption and GHG emissions. The preparation of the Global Status Report 2016, which will be released on November 10 on Buildings Day at COP22 in Marrakesh, was led by the Copenhagen Centre in collaboration with UNEP, International Energy Agency and Global Buildings Performance Network, under the umbrella of Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction. The report summarises key climate commitments, policy developments and sustainable technologies for the building sector, providing sustainable building pathways and recommendations that encourage progress towards achieving climate targets.
