Embodied Carbon in Buildings

The Copenhagen Centre on Energy Efficiency works to map and assess the carbon emissions profile of the construction sector, extending this assessment to materials and economic flows linked with emissions. This work includes carbon footprints associated with key materials so that governments can be informed on how to decarbonise the sector.

We work to Identify and track the current contribution of the circular economy interventions to the decarbonization of construction sector value chains, typically included and reported under the Transparency framework of countries and contributing to the national Nationally Determined Contribution’s ambitions.
